Everyone in the area knows that Krul Lake is a beautiful site for swimming and camping it also makes a wonderful area for a festival. Come out and see for yourself. The weather is great.
Blackwater River State Forest’s 75th Anniversary will be held in conjunction with the Munson Community Heritage Festival- an annual event held at the Krul Lake Recreation Area in the forest. The festival features exhibits depicting pre-industrial rural life in the South. From Dutch oven cooking to dulcimer making and thread spinning, the event highlights old-time skills.

Location
The festivities will take place at the Krul Recreation Area within Blackwater River State Forest. Directions: Krul Recreation Area is located ½ mile east of Munson, north of Highway 4.
