Lady Jags win 1st Cross Country Meet- make school history

Central Jaguars Cross Country team ran at Baker on Thursday and the Lady Jags won the meet and the boys came in 2nd. Schools involved were Central, Baker, Laurel Hill, Paxton, Walton County, Rocky Bayou.

The Lady Jaguars have had a cross country team for only three years and winning this meet gave them the first school win.

Beth Smith won the girls race, Kennedy Fuller came in 3rd, and Erica Waters came in 4th. It was the first time in Central school history that the girls won a meet and Beth Smith was the first girl to win a meet in the Jaguars school history.  Check in later for a photo gallery of the Central Teams.

Laurel Hill beat out the Jaguar boys by 5 points. Kyle Fuller was the top finisher for the boys coming in 4th.

The Central Cross Country teams will run in the JD McDaniel Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011.
