Dobson finishes as Top Florida Master-updated

Jay’s Matthew Dobson ran a half-marathon (13 miles) on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Disney World in Orlando, at the  Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Matt finished 8^th out of 10,100 runners, which in turn qualified him for the title of Top Florida Master. The runner also took first place in his age group. His final time was 1:19:42. All 50 U.S. states, along with 21 countries were represented in the annual event. Matt said, “his original goal was to get in the top 10, as he was unable to train as much as he would have liked – and he was happy he could achieve that.” Matt placed 2^nd in this event last year. Based on the results of this event, Matt can fine-tune his training for the rest of the year. Matt will be participating in the Blackwater Half Marathon Trail race slated for October 15^th and in the Pensacola Marathon on Nov. 13^th.
