Sheriff’s Office Investigating Armed Home Invasion in Navarre
On 9/14/2011, shortly before midnight, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to 2368 Crescent Wood Road, Navarre, FL, in reference to an armed home invasion. Deputies were told that three adult male suspects forced themselves inside the above mentioned residence and committed a robbery. There where two adult victims present inside the home at the time of the occurrence. At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects began demanding money from the victims. Both victims were battered by the suspects; however they did not require medical attention. The suspects were able to obtain a large amount of cash and some jewelry. Prior to leaving, the suspects demanded the victim’s cell phones and car keys so that the victims could not call law enforcement and could not follow them as they fled the scene. The suspects then left the residence. Investigators are currently following leads in reference to the robbery. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, no further information is being released concerning the identities of those involved. More information will be released as it is allowable.
