Rufus Blair – “Are you lost?”

Rufus Blair has been found alive.  Praise God. A family member discovered Rufus sitting in the woods.  He appeared disoriented and a little dehydrated.  When asked was he okay, he laughed and replied, “I’m good, Are you lost?”  he asked his rescurer.  He was discovered in a heavily wooded area around Murder Creek near Castleberry.  It appeared as if Blair had walked in cirlces and was exhausted when found.  The family would like to thank all the volunteers for their help in locating him from handing out flyers to the search effort. 

 Mr. Rufus Blair’s vehicle has been located in a wooded area on a back road in Castleberry.  The Sheriff’s Office is asking for volunteers to help search for Rufus. Please come to the local church on East Railroad St. in Castleberry to sign in and get search instructions.

The Escambia County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man.  MISSING PERSON ALERT- Rufus David Blair, White Male, Age 77, since Tuesday from the Appleton Area (253 Cooper Cemetery Road) driving a White 2003 Buick Lasabre, Tag# 30A97H2 – His family is  extremely worried as he suffers from early stages of dementia; he is believed to have been spotted last night in Brewton around the Wal-Mart & Dirt Cheap Stores. Call 911, or Sheriff’s Dept. at 809-0741, 809-2154 or 251-368-4779 if you see someone fitting this description!
