Chief Robinson was from Detroit, Michigan. He enlisted in the United States Navy in January, 1996.
He graduated from Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois in March, 1996. Chief Robinson completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL School, Coronado California in January, 2000. He served in two West Coast based Special Warfare Units from March, 2000 to April, 2004. He served in four East Coast based Special Warfare Units from April, 2004 to August, 2011.
Chief Robinson’s awards include the Bronze Star Medal (4) three with ‘V’ for valor, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3) two with ‘V’ for valor, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation (2), Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Good Conduct Medal (5), Navy Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (2), Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (6), NATO Medal, Navy Expert Rifleman Medal, Navy Expert Pistol Shot Medal.
