Fun for All Ages
PENSACOLA, Fla. (Aug. 31, 2011) ¨C Building stronger families for a healthier community is the theme for the 19 th Annual Baptist Health Care’s Family Expo. The premier health and wellness event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds.
The Family Expo is a convenient, one-stop event for health education and screenings for adults and children in a fun atmosphere.
Health screenings for adults include:
¡¤ Heart risk assessment
¡¤ Blood glucose test
¡¤ Stroke risk assessment
¡¤ Blood pressure check
¡¤ Non-fasting total cholesterol
¡¤ Body composition analysis
¡¤ Osteoporosis heel scan
¡¤ Speech screenings for children ages 3 to 6 years
Take in the fun activities for all ages:
¡¤ See “SpongeBob” and “Dora” from Characters on the Go
¡¤ Tour a fire truck
¡¤ Tour the Baptist LifeFlight helicopter
¡¤ Enjoy baton twirling and fire batons from the Escambia/Santa Rosa twirlers
¡¤ Visit with the Baptist Health Care mascot “TraumaRoo”
¡¤ See the Flip Factory gymnastics team
¡¤ Donate blood at the American Red Cross blood mobile
¡¤ Ride the Naval Aviation Museum cockpit
¡¤ For the kids: Balloon art, face painting, tattoos, and golf activities with the Escambia Physical Education Association.
