Heat Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Santa Rosa County through Thursday afternoon. The heat index is expected to range between 110 and 115 degrees. Heat index values this high can cause even the most physically fit to succumb to heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room and stay out of the sun. Monitor children and elderly for heat illnesses. Provide pets with fresh water and shade.
