Prep Football Week 10
Jay (6-0) @ Liberty County (5-2)-Kickoff 7:00pm
The Jay Royals are finally back in action this week after a three week hiatus, to no fault of their own. After a late decision by True Institute to cancel and forfeit to the Royals, on gameday, Hurricane Isaias came calling and cancelled the next two games for Jay (Marianna and Walton). Now, the Royals are forced to get ready to play after nearly a month off as they make the long road trip to Liberty County. The Bulldogs are coming off a loss at the hands of Cottondale.
Last year the two schools did not play.
Wewa (4-3) @ Central (1-3)-Kickoff 7:00pm
The Jaguars have not played a football game since September 23rd. An off week and a hurricane put a pause in the schedule. Now, Central is ready to host the Gators from Wewa. The Jaguars have lost three games in a row and are hoping that the time off will result in a different outcome in the win/loss column. Wewa won last week, snapping a two game losing streak.
Last season, Central defeated Wewa in regular season, 14-12.
Pace (4-2) @ Tate (4-2)-Kickoff 7:30pm
Pace has rattled off three wins in a row since losing to Choctaw and will be making the short trip to Tate High School tonight. Tate is coming off a one point loss to Niceville however, nearly a month ago. Neither team has played in the last two weeks so there might be some sloppy play early.
Last season, Pace defeated Tate 30-8.
Escambia defeated Milton on Thursday, 35-7.
