Lady Royals improve to 10-4
After losing at home last Friday to LEAD Academy, 55-36, the Jay Lady Royals have bounced back with two convincing wins. Both wins came on the road as well. On Monday, Jay traveled to Pace and defeated the Patriots for the second time this year, 47-37. On Thursday, the Lady Royals made the trip to Paxton and defeated them for a second time as well, 66-48.
“I was really happy with the intensity we played with last night,” head coach Jorey Diamond said. “Paxton is a tough place to play and I thought we played well.”
On Friday, the 10-4 Lady Royals host the 8-6 Central Jaguars. This is the first game between the two schools this season. Central is coming off a two game losing streak (Destin, 52-45 and Navarre, 69-27).
But, as anytime these two rivals get on the same court, the records don’t usually mean much.
Tipoff on Friday at Jay. 6:00pm.
