Royals Sweep Chiefs
Thursday-It was a good night to be a Jay Royal as both the boys’ and girls’ teams defeated the rival Chiefs at home, while honoring senior players Tristan Watson, Landy Locklin, and Jaylen Routley. It was a dominating night from the beginning as the Jay girls proved way too much for the chiefs, 52-14. The boys’ game was even more one-sided as Jay defeated Northview 70-21. In all, the Royals outscored the Chiefs in both games 122-35.
For the girls, eight different Royals got into the score book. Carleigh Baker and Kaylee Gilbreath both scored 10.

For the boys, Brady Godwin led the way with 18. Tristan Watson added 16, while Ethan McDonald connected on three first quarter 3’s and finished with 13.
