Royals Upset #2 Ranked Team in State
The boy’s basketball team at JHS (11-3) took down #2 Chipley (9-1) on the road Thursday night, 58-48. Previously undefeated Chipley was outscored by Jay 12-6 at the end of the first and found themselves down by 9 at halftime. Ethan Mcdonald lead all scores with 17, going 8/8 from the free throw line. Senior Tristan Watson added 12.
“Super proud of the guys,” head coach Hank Hullet said after the game. “They battled through alot of adversity.”
Up next for Jay is a trip to rival Central on Friday night.
