Week 7 is Here…

Week 7 is here and with it brings some good out of district matchups. All three of our north Santa Rosa schools are all facing big non-district games.

Pace (3-3, 0-1) @ Tate (5-1) —Game time 7:30pm

Pace is on a two game losing streak and is in the middle of the toughest part of their schedule. Tate’s only loss is to powerhouse Niceville. The Aggies have cruised to victories the rest of the way. The Patriots will look to get back to their winning ways this week by disrupting Tate’s ball control offense.

Last year, Tate defeated Pace 48-28.

Jay (0-6, 0-1) @ Cottondale (3-3)—Game time 7:00pm

The Royals are still searching for their first win of the season. Coming off a 2-8 record from last year, the Royals knew this year would be a challenge due to their lack of seniors and depth in many positions. Last week, the Royals were outmatched by arguably one of the best teams in all of 1A football in Florida, the Baker Gators. The Royals will have to stop Cottondale’s# 4, Javontai Hall to have a chance this week against the Hornets.

Last year, Jay defeated Cottondale in a shootout, 58-56 at Jay.

Milton (2-5, 0-1) @ Crestview (6-0)—-Game time 7:00pm

Milton has dropped their last three games and things won’t get any easier this Friday night as they travel to Okaloosa County to face Crestview. Things are really rolling right now at Crestview and Bulldogs aren’t showing any signs of weakness. On the season, Crestview has outscored their opponents by a score of 317-118. Milton will try and stop the bleeding this week, but it won’t be an easy task.

Last year, Milton defeated Crestview, 29-28.
